Nikon CoolPix Digital Camera

The Nikon Coolpix digital camera is a “point and shoot” digital camera that first went into production in 1998. The original Nikon camera began as 1xx series and was only 0.3 megapixels with fixed zoom. The Nikon Coolpix digital camera has gone through a number of changes in the past thirteen years. The various changes include the production of several new series, increased megapixels, changes in the screen size and resolution, body design, zoom options, and optics.

All of the cameras in the Coolpix line come with rechargeable lithium batteries for extended use. All of the cameras contain secure digital cards so that an almost unlimited number of photos can be taken. Unlike most cameras, that contains cards which have limited memory.

A few of the cameras, the S610 and the S710 even have Wi-Fi capabilities. This is perfect for individuals who share their photos often and on photo sharing sites such as Flickr. All of the cameras have a variety of options as far as the cases go as well.

The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj comes with a built-in projector. It is the first compact digital camera to contain this feature that allow you to project your favorite photos or movies clips, with sound, on any flat surface. The camera can be used with a projector stand and comes with a remote control.

The Coolpix series comes with a variety of accessories. One of those accessories is a special underwater casing, allowing the cameras in all three series to be used underwater. The accessory line also includes a battery charger which plugs into the cars power receptacle, just like a phone charger.
